some might say

haven't posted anything for a while so here goes a little update:
home depot orientation - saturday 8am-5pm
got up at around 6:30 and slowly got ready to leave at 7:30 to make it there for 8. completely boring day. just listened the HR manager read from these stupid booklets and watch stupid videos till about 3:30 when she let us go. oh ya, any of you remember darrin from newman? he was there, he showed up 2 hours late and was caught sleeping by the HR manager. he was working at the woodbine store (i think) so i'll never see him again in my life.

sars concert - saturday 5pm
i got there about 1 1/2 - 2 hours into the concert, missed swollen members which i would have actually liked to have seen. over all i thought it was pretty good, kind of sucked that we saw all the best bands over the video screen but sarah mclachlan was a unexpected surprise, i really enjoyed her set. most of the fun was had after the concert though. we walked all the way up yonge (from the ACC) to future bakery, where was sat on the patio and had a couple of drinks. overall its was a pretty fun experience.

first day at home depot - sunday 4pm-9pm
wasn't too eventful, i was matched up with pat. he showed me around alittle and showed me how to cut keys and look up products on the computer. i have no idea where anything was but i wasn't toooo out of place (i think). was told that i was to work this wednesday 11-6.

second day at home depot - monday - 7:30 AM
got a call at 7:30 from roger the department head, asking if i could come in and work today, so i said sure and he told me to come in and work from 9am-6pm. one of the full time guys had injured himself and is expected to be off for a couple weeks. so upon arriving i find out that i'm gonna be alone without any help for awhile. i'm forced to cut about a dozen keys after just seeing someone do it twice the day before. i hope they all worked. also asked so crazy questions about products i know nothing about. what the fuck do i know about an arc welder (other than its name) or stats for a gas generator. it was a little crazy but i think i survived ok. they told me to come in thursday instead of wednesday now, and that they may need me on sat. well at least i'm making money now.
