well I guess I should give my round of applause to the Leafs...I realize that it is I who is saying this, but I figure it would of been a good message to the world if the Leafs had gone on to the finals, that at least something good would come out of this whole mess of Toronto being designated as one of the hells on earth, with the whole sars thing in all. This whole this is rather depressing. But hey, you can't let it stop you from living...so here goes...well my pics for American Idol this week are: bottom 3 - Treynce, Carmen, Josh with Treynce getting the boot. I have realized that all my pics for who I think will be booted out never happen so if anyone wants to make some quick change outhere...bet money against Treynce not being voted off. You can buy me a drink later. Also I have come to the realization that TA's are just as bias as anyone else outhere and cannot mark objectively. Case in point, for my History of Natives & Settlers course (which is now done): first half I was not doing to well - let's just say that the class average in Dec was a 57% & I was below that - second half - I decide to be all friendly with her, talk to her about shit like French music (she's Quebecer) and watch her sing & dance on the subway (long...and weird story), anyway: result coming into the exam - 75. On my tutorial participation mark (where I say nothing cos I hate the class) her exact words are: I can tell by reading your paper you know your material well - to bad you didn't share you thoughts with the class - 7.5outof10. It works. I'm not sure why I'm surprised - at least half of my high school marks where exaggerated because I talked to the teachers... and I figured that once I got to university i'd stop and I did - marks, not as good as they could of been. Well too fucking bad - this shit works and my advice to all: become pals with your TA - your GPA (esp if have a culmulative one) will thank you. Just hope I did well on the exam. Next up....Canadian Politics 214.....ewwwwww......an awful, awful class on Friday. Am I studying....nope...I was talking w/my pal Mike about if you were to make a soundtrack of your life, the good, the bad, all the points in between what would they be? It's got me going nuts trying to figure out which ones. Also to Tat: sorry about today - call me later about the "Croissant Tree". Well that's it for now.
