well I guess today was the day that everyone from Newman runs into each other. Now on an average day I would only see people that were in my classes and perhaps once in a blue moon see someone else - remember UofT has over 50,000 students (even though... don't you hate the fact that you always see people you think are ugly or annoying but don't know them - all the time) Anyhow, here's the rundown - Steve D (x2), Rashida, Aileen (calm down Jona), Laurie Madigan, Marissa (calm down Paula), Dave Ebreo, David Urbaniec, Desiree (note to Des - I enjoyed that quickie), and went home with Andree. Note to Steve & Paula....this Thursday - party at Joe's....$1 drinks....steve, you can even bring your bro - I'm joking! On to another news - today I went to lunch with Mike before catching up with Justin & Jaime and it turns out that this girl in my politics class that I've had eyes on since the beginning of the year is one of his best friends (damn bastard has enough friends - hi mike!) Now we were talking about her and how he says I should 'definitely go for it' but then warned me that - & I hope I get this right - "I'm not sure it would work out since she's Italian and you're Portuguese" - huuuh?!?! ...supposedly there is this deep animosity between the two groups that we wouldn't make such a good couple....now, I don't recall any wars between Italy & Portugal, in fact I don't really think the two groups have any real connections to each other - granted when it comes to soccer they hate each other (despite the fact we almost always lose!), as demonstated with my father who despises Italians for it. But the fact that you would not go for someone just because they're a particular race, especially when they're similar in values and other European things is ridiculous. I dont know...it just bugs me - but she's going on Thurs so...this should make for some interesting events.
